Mission complete!

Hi. It's Cinnamon here. Today I will show you why my Mum was busy for the last several days.

She was painting wooden window frames of the dining kitchen. Actually it was a year ago that she declared that she was going to repaint the window frames with peeling paint, but she never got it started until now. In fact it was her first painting project, so she started with doing some research on how to paint and what to use, but later she found a much quicker way, which was to ask our great, kind, and helpful next-door neighbour who does all the painting work around his house.

Mum's painting project proceeded as follows:

1. Clean the window frames
2. Sand them first with coarse sandpaper (to remove peeling paint) and then with fine sandpaper
3. Apply undercoat primer that the kind next-door neighbour gave her
4. Sand with fine sandpaper after the primer dries
5. Apply undercoat primer again
6. Sand with fine sandpaper after the primer dries
7. Paint
8. Paint again after the first coat dries completely
9. Finish!!!

What was I doing while she was painting? Of course, I was supervising, laying under the dining table!

  2. Hi Cinnamon, Happy New Year! Your mum is really hard at work. Of course, we beagles know better, don't we... My humans are planning to do some painting around the house but since it involves the exterior and interior walls, they've decided to hire someone to do it. I'll probably have to supervise those humans too!

  3. Your mom is most patient to take on that project. It is worth the effort, though.

  5. Hee! Hee! I like your supervising style, Cinnamon...just like mine!! :-)

My human is really impressed by yours for doing all the painting herself. Hsin-Yi has always wanted to do that kind of DIY for the house but she is always too scared because she doesn't know anything!

  6. Good instructions! My mom has been meaning to paint the living room for years but didn't know the steps. I would lie on the couch to watch but I think your idea is better and safer.
