Beagle Walk in the Auckland Domain

We went to a Beagle Walk at the Auckland Domain on Saturday. The Auckland Beagle Club holds Beagle Walks every other month at various places in different areas around Auckland.

Although rain was forecast, we were lucky enough to make a full circle around the big park before it started raining midday.

We met at a car park near the duck pond.

Set off for a walk at 10:40am.

Cinnamon was so excited that she couldn't stop barking at first.

The first stop at the Valkyrie Fountain.

A group snapshot in front of the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Cookie's snapshot.

The last stop at the Wintergardens.

Soon after we got back in our car to go home shortly after midday, it started raining.

  1. Glad you got SOME fun in before the rain started. The pups look like they had a good time. Don't feel bad - it's rained here too every single day for the past forever. It stinks!

  3. Oh what a great idea! I wish the Great Dane club did fun things like this every other month too but they only seem to do boring ribbon parades for doggies wanting to become show dogs but you just stand around a lot and don't get to socialise much...so we don't go anymore!

You certainly were lucky with the weather - my humans were lazy and didn't take me out in the morning - so by the time they took me out in the afternoon, it was pouring and we all got soaked to the skin!! :-)

How funny - my post today is also about walking...great minds must think alike! hee! Hee!

  5. Guys! We feel bad.....we've missed so much....even Cinnamon's birthday, we're sorry! You two looked adorable in your costumes, very cute!
Wow.....how cool that you get to go walking with lots of other Beagles...great to see (and hear!) a big pack like that :D and it looked like a lovely walk.

  6. yelo! i'm using Nikon D90, 17-50mm 2.8f and 50mm 1.8f lenses.

i envy how ur girls could run and walk so freely in public places and meet other beagles... we do have ONE park here but its inconvenient to travel there. plus we can't simply let our dogs follow wherever we go. sure there are a few places that allows pets but not as abundant... ):
