One New Trick A Month - January - Crawl


Hi! It's Cinnamon.

Today I declare that Mint and I are going to take on a challenge called 'One New Trick A Month Challenge 2012'. We are going to learn at least one new trick a month. We decided to do it, after seeing some of our blog friends had started doing something similar, such as Jackal at Living Farmer's Life and Maisy at Reactive Champion. I have to admit though that we are kind of cheating, comparing to what Jackal and Maisy are doing, because, under our rule at Beagle Diary, either, not both, of us, Mint and Cinnamon, is going to learn at least one new trick every month.

In January, the first month of the challenge, Mint learned 'Crawl'. Here is the finished product!

In fact he learned it very quickly. A problem is that he tries to crawl when he is doing the Down Stay in obedience!!

    O what a great idea!! We might have to talk to our human about doing that as well...she needs some motivation to teach us tricks :p

    Oh wow thats a great idea, do you think you could motivate Mum, shes s lazy as t the mo. We is still trying to get our head round weaves. Maybe we should nail that first.

    Oh Mint! What a great crawler you are! That's one of those tricks that I have never managed to learn properly. My human doesn't know if I'm just being lazy or whether the position is actually uncomfortable for a big dog like me with such long legs & deep chest...and now that I'm older, she avoids stressing my body too much so we have given up on it a bit...

    Ooh, what a great idea for learning a new Trick a Month - I would join you except that with the speed I learn, it would be more like A Trick A Year!!! :-)

    That is awesome!!! You're a really good crawler. My crawl isn't nearly as impressive. Mom still hasn't posted my video from my one trick a month 2011. I'll have to get on her about that. I'm glad you liked the idea enough to try it yourself, even if you are cheating BOL!! I didn't know there was anyone else who had done it too. I'll have to check out Maisy's blog.
