Hi! It's Cinnamon!!
Today I will show you what I have been doing recently apart from playing with Mint.
This morning my Mum filmed a whole trick practise session that we had in a small park (off-leash dog exercise area) in our morning walk. The video is over eight minutes long and it looks a little foggy because the lens of Mum's camera was dirty. (Mum is so lazy about cleaning her camera!) So, watch it only if you don't mind wasting some of your time or you are really interested in my training.
hello cinnamon its dennis the vizsla dog hay those ar grate tricks verry impressiv!!! espeshly the backwards triks and the holding such self control!!! ok bye
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed, Cinnamon. You're doing a great job and your mum is such a good trainer!
ReplyDeleteBernie wouldn't even fit through my legs. :-)
Wow Cinnamon, that was so cool! I'm blown away with how awesome you are. You can stay focused for such a long time, you looked so happy, always wagging your tail and watching your Mum closely. Very very cool video. I think I love the backwards tricks the most, you're so fast at them!

I think the most impressive thing was that you payed good attention for a long time. Gosh! I get bored after just a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteYour reverse is amazing.

Cinnamon do you have any videos showing you being a little naughty or even just a little mischievious - you see the thing is, you're showing us average beagles up! My mam is now saying to me "Cinnamon is sooooooooooo good, why don't you concentrate like that when I ask you to do something"
ReplyDeleteI have to admit you are a star though! well done - but if you have evidence of naughtiness please show it soon as my mam will keep telling how fantastic you are x
you are training mom to give you treats! well done!
ReplyDeleteOhhh Cinnamon - that was WONDERFULL!!! I Loved watching that video - and especially my human, because we can't see you in real life anymore so it's so nice to be able to catch up on your training through your videos!
ReplyDeleteAnd I must say - I am SOOO impressed! Wow! YOu have improved so much and learnt so many new tricks since I last saw you! You can reverse BOTH ways around the legs now! And I Love the new trick your human is teaching you - the "Lift" - very clever! I also like how your human walks backwards with you when you reverse through her legs - that is very different and creative! My human says it is good that your human is being imaginative and creative and adding some of her own signature tricks - because a lot of the times people just teach the same old tricks that everybody else does and it gets a bit repetitive - so it's great to see something original! It will also make your routine special because you will have some tricks & moves that nobody else does! :-)
I could see at the end that you were training parts of your new routine - it looks great! When are you going to put it on the blog to show everybody? I think you should - that video your human emailed to my human was fantastic!
Well done- and especially well done to your human for being such a good trainer! And Hsin-Yi says to tell your human to be so proud of what she has achieved with you - can you remember when we first met? Did she ever believe that she could let you off-leash and have so much focus from you for so long? (8 minutes!!! That is amazing! I can never focus for longer than 5 mins, I think, before I need a break or start to lose interest - but you were still looking at your human and wagging your tail - it was wonderful to see!) Plus Hsin-Yi says: don't you think your bond with your human is so much more special now that you have spend so much time learnign new things together? It is like you understand each other so much better, isn't it? And you really enjoy the special training time together!
Keep up the good work!

Honey the Great Dane
Hi Cinnamon - wow you really are awesome at your tricks! Mum wants to take us to doggy dancing classes but there don't seem to be any running in Hamilton at the moment :o(. Your mum must really spend a lot of time training with you!
ReplyDeleteMum says we will come back and give hound racing another go - so hopefully we get to see you and your gorgeous wee brother Mint again soon :o)
PS - Bella says dont worry that he gets all the attention now, pretty soon he will be bigger than you and everyone will think you are the puppy!
Hi Bella and Barry,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear from you!! Thank you for your comment on our trick practise.
Well, our training sessions are very short and we have them twice a day at most, because my Mum is worried that I might get fed up with it if we practise too much.
I would love to race with you guys again!! The next coursing is on the 11th of April. At that time Mint will not have been fully vaccinated, so he might not come with me. But, he will definitely come with me for the following one after the next.
Also, I have the same problem. Although I want to try Rally-O, there seems to be no classes that teach it in Auckland. When there was a seminar of Rally-O in Hamilton in March, I couldn't attend it because Mint came to our house on the same day.
I hope to catch up with you soon!!
Love,
Cinnamon
Wow Cinnamon, BACKWARDS WEAVES, we are so impressed, thats really really clever.
ReplyDeleteWow impressive!!!!!!! You are doing such an amazing job in your training! Seeing this video makes my lazy mom want to start training me again. :)
