Sad, sad, sad ... really sad

Today the phone rang when I was enjoying an afternoon nap. It was a call from Mum's mummy in Japan. She said that she had seen news reports about a big earthquake in Christchurch. Dad immediately turned on TV and watched live reports from Christchurch. There were photos and videos one after another that show how devastating it was. I am really, really sad, thinking about people in Christchurch who had started to recover from a previous big earthquake in the area last September.

Here in Auckland I didn't feel anything. I hope all dogs that got lost in the aftermath will reunite with their family safely and quickly.

For more information about the earthquake, visit here.

  1. This was dreadful news. We are thinking of the families there and keeping all paws and fingers crossed that they are able to find their furries.

  2. An earthquake is a most horrible thing - I have been through a tremor only when I was younger and we lived in California - I can only go by what I see on TV to know how devastating one can be. We have paws crossed here at Team Beaglebratz and sending prayers for all to stay safe.

  8. Hehe I'm not worried about my hair lol. I rarely style it. I just never bought a bicycle helmet because it's not required around here. As a kid I didn't know any better, now that I'm older and have the dogs with me I really need to get one. :)
